Directions to Oro Valley: From Tucson head North on Oracle Road. Once past Ina Road light you will be in Oro Valley. Oro Valley is small community of approximately 40,000 people located just Northwest of Tucson.
There are two Retirement Home Communities in Oro Valley and a couple more very close by. Most of the Retirement Communities in Tucson are built on the Northwest side of Tucson and that puts them in or close to Oro Valley. The two in Oro Valley are Sun City Vistoso and Vistoso Village, both of which are located in Rancho Vistoso in the heart of Oro Valley. Sun City Vistoso is a large Del Web Subdivision of several hundred homes with a full community center and lots of structured activities for active adults. Vistoso Village is a smaller gated community with a slower pace and not as many things to do but they do have a small clubhouse a community pool and some activities available. The other Retirement Communities near Oro Valley are Saddlebrooke about 15 minutes North of Oro Valley and Heritage Highlands about 10 minutes west of Oro Valley. Both are very large communities with golf courses and lots to do. | |
